Court Order for SORRB Classification
Who needs to get a court order? No one. However, if you want the courts to compel SORRB to expedite your case, you can get a court order. Once the court order is received by SORRB, SORRB must complete the classification within 90 days as long as there are no significant hurdles in obtaining necessary information.

A classification might be required for:
- A Judge to consider removal from the registry or changes in registry requirements.
- A Judge to consider modification of community supervision.
- Necessary expediting of classification.
A court order does not:
- Guarantee any hoped-for outcome.
What is needed in the court order to assist SORRB:
- Sex offender’s full name and date of birth.
- Legible name and address of defense attorney (if applies).
- Legible name and address of prosecuting attorney.
- Legible name and address of Judge.
