Katie Gropper is the Chief Assistant District Attorney of the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit (Cherokee County). Since obtaining her Juris Doctorate in 2006, Ms. Gropper has dedicated the entirety of her career to the prosecution of sexually based criminal offenses, with an emphasis on child sexual abuse.

Prior to her role as Chief Assistant District Attorney, Ms. Gropper served as the Deputy Chief Assistant District Attorney of the Special Victims Unit in the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit. Before joining the Blue Ridge Judicial Circuit in 2020, Ms. Gropper also served as a Special Victims prosecutor in both the Cobb and Brunswick Judicial Circuits.

In addition to her time in the courtroom, Ms. Gropper is dedicated to improving the State’s response to child abuse and sexual assault. She is a frequent presenter at state and national conferences-- teaching law enforcement, prosecutors, and other partner agencies on the emerging legal issues and best practices in the field of child sexual abuse.

Serving as a Board Member of SORRB since 2020, Ms. Gropper continues her commitment to child protection.
